normally… I don’t spend alot of time talking about political things…because, I don’t find them entertaining, and I like to believe that at least part of the reason people read this blog, is because its entertaining…. that said.. I can’t avoid saying something on this topic.

Yes.. you read that right…by chewing gum. Apparently, there is a japanese company making gum that they claim will “help enhance the size, shape and tone of the breast”… you can read an article about it here,
so… who’s going to try it and see if it really works?

Death by irony..
A man participating in a Avalanche awareness/safety class… was killed by an avalanche (story here). While I feel bad for the guy’s family, I can’t help but find humor in the actual situation… its one of those things you would expect to see in a bad movie, or maybe a TV show on FOX.
So, Thursday I took the plunge. I’d been thinking about it for awhile, and finally decided to do it. It in this case, is Lasik eye surgery. I went through The 20/20 Institute. And while my eyes are still healing, so there is some fluctuation in vision, I’m pretty satisfied with the results so far.
At the moment, my eyes have been over-corrected, and I’ve gone from near-sighted to far-sighted. But, its getting better each day… Thursday after the surgery, I couldn’t focus on anything closer then probably 5 feet (right around there), Friday, by about 8 pm..I was able to focus on the computer screen (for short periods). Today, its better.
So far, the only thing that seems ‘worse’ is my night vision..I get really bad halos around lights, to the point where I don’t trust myself driving at night right now, but, that too is getting better each day.
Now… if Oakley would just hurry about and release the sunglasses that they are partnering with Motorola on (and hopefully, they’ll be real cool)
Probably not what they had in mind when they started making sex offenders register via a publicly accessible database in California. Apparently, one of the registered offenders, decided to start using the database as a dating service! He would look up other registered offenders, find ones he thought were cute and proposition them to hook up…
There’s probably going to be an opening in Connecticut soon. Seems whoever is responsible for testing the Emergency Broadcast system made a huge mistake today…and actually activated the system and told the entire state it needed to be evacuated! I wonder if anyone actually tried to leave their job because they were listening to the radio and heard the evacuation notice…
Any of the recent lawsuits regarding Spammers have been good lawsuits, in case you missed them, they’ve been filed by states against spammers who violated the incredibly weak “Can-Spam” act.
This lawsuit however, falls under the ‘not good’ category. A notorious spammer has decided that people reporting him as a Spammer is malicious and he has filed suit.
Surprisingly, the courts didn’t throw this out right off the bat as a frivolous lawsuit. Hopefully, once it goes to trial, it will get thrown out. This is a good cause to donate to, so feel free to throw the guy a few bucks via paypal.
So, how come I never get assaulted by a Playmate? I mean, shouldn’t this have gone onto Pay Per View, instead of to court? Two women, name calling and a dance pole sounds to me like a porn movie plot then something that deserves 24 hours of community service…
Unless of course… the community service is re-staging the ‘fight’ for a camera crew =)
